Backyard Switzerland Wedding
Their families. These friends. The 30 people who came from all over the world to watch these two get married in his backyard. Pure bliss.
The day of the wedding, and the days leading up to the celebration were some of the funnest of our lives. Andy and I had been backpacking through Europe, and knew we had to get to Geneva, Switzerland before the wedding. However, we ended up at Christians house about a week before the wedding to be greeted by his incredibly welcoming and hospitable family. We came early to drop some of our stuff off before going to do some more backpacking in the Alps. (After a few weeks of those crazy heavy packs we were eager for lighter weight.) After being at the Masters home for only a few hours, we realized we didn't want to be away for too long. We cut our last trip short and hurried back to the Masters for more fun only to find even MORE people sleeping in all corners of the home. The Masters are some of the most hospitable people you'll ever meet, and the way they celebrate is pure gold.
Amelia and Christian are some of our soul friends from college, and I am so thankful for the joy, laughter, and adventures we had together this week celebrating them. It was such an intimate and joyfilled week, their could not have been a better way to celebrate who they are as a couple. We spent the mornings on long walks down Swiss streets, the afternoons picnicking on lake Geneva and taking boat rides, and nights riding vespas and enjoying city life. Amelia and Christian have such a beautiful, wild and free love; it was so inspiring to witness and celebrate with all of their family and friends. These days will never be forgotten, and we are oh so thankful we were able to be there to celebrate this rad couple. <3
